Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Kathmandu, July 2019.

One of the ancientest places in Nepal.

Just relax and take a moment of history on our Planet.

First stop – Pilot Baba Ashram

Hindu Palace and Meditation Hall close to the Ghyampe Danda. I was fascinated by this temple. Such a peaceful place with amazing music (I could’ve been listening to music) and there is such a beautiful view on hills as well. In a winter season I would enjoy a view on mountains as well.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Bhaktapur is a very unique old city. Founded by king Ananta Dev in 889 AD. The word Bhaktapur means the city of devotees. Bhaktapur was an independent principality ruled by the Malla kings who were very much devoted to religion, culture and art.
