Spending two days in such a breathtaking, peaceful and colourful area, the Begnas Lake.
The Rice Festival, visiting the Rupa Lake View Tower, the Begnas Lake and sunset…
The Rice festival at the Begnas Lake
Once a year, locals celebrate their fields with rice. All locals wearing their traditional customs and singing their songs. I was fascinated by their colourful clothes, smiles and happiness. Children were playing football (if I can call it like that, probably I should say pool-field football) on the fields. No one cares about their dirty clothes or cows surround and everyone is having fun. It remained me my childhood, a bit.
Begnas Lake
This is the third largest lake of Nepal. You can borrow a small boat with a driver or not. The prices are accessible. I did not try, I had really short time. Just have a look at photos.
The way to get the Rupa Lake view tower
The Rupa Lake view tower is located 4,5 km from the centre, from the last bus stop Begnas Taal Bus Park. I could have taken a taxi but it is not that far away, I walked. And I have seen this scenery.
Rupa Lake View Tower
For 30RPS I enjoyed views on both lakes – Begnas Lake and Rupa Lake. It is better to stay until sunset.
